I have “Bean Thinking” which means I have “Bean Blogging”… This is the 3rd time I have tried to post this! Blooming technology!! Mind you although frustrating has saved me from the hoovering!!!

Here it is, some food for thought…

“Faith, it is a funny thing, and I don’t mean that to trivialise it in any way. It is something that brings us together yet something so divisive it tears us apart. Families, lovers, people, counties, countries, generations…

Faith isn’t something we talk about either. We may share our thinking with the rest of the pew but we don’t talk about it. We are all too frightened of the reprisals and judgement that comes with sharing your thoughts about something that can and does mean so much to so many people. But surely to learn, we need to listen, and we can’t listen if no one is speaking…

I personally think we should talk about faith more. Why don’t we share our thinking whilst sat with friends in the pub, waiting at the bank, queuing for our supermarket shopping. Surely it is far more interesting than our ongoing obsession with the weather?

It may be deemed a little contrite, me talking about faith when I attend no church. But for me, faith is all about love. I believe in love. I believe in humankind. I believe in kindness and I believe in my very soul… I believe that love can heal. It is the only antidote to hate. I believe kindness can reach the lonely and heal the broken. I believe in myself and living my life without judging everyone adding music to the colours of my soul. It allows for me to live a life that is not infused with anger, hate, bitterness or envy! It allows for me to reach out to fellow Human Beans and share this world. A world I believe in, an earth I celebrate, a life where hope can be found in each new sunrise…

Does not having a true “religion” mean that my faith is any less valid than the next? Is love alone, not enough?
The children once asked me “What is God?” I wasn’t sure so I posed the question to a dear lady who’s heart belongs to the church… “God is love” she replied… I don’t believe in a God per se… I believe in love… and so, from my hill top, where I view this world through my eyes…

“God is not love, love is God”
Is that enough?”

Look after yourselves

Look after each other
